Meetings
PFLAG meetings are support-based. We are not a therapy session or a workshop, we do not want to change you or deny your feelings. PFLAG’s goal is to keep families together by promoting understanding and love.
We hold two meetings monthly. Even if the meeting date falls on a holiday, we still meet as usual. See below for more information.

Who should attend?
If you are a lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender person thinking about coming out of the closet or struggling with your sexuality, then come attend a meeting. If you are the parent of someone who has recently come out to you and you are struggling with the news, come attend a meeting. If you are the parent of an LGBT child and want to support someone else who is going through the same experience, come attend a meeting. If you are an out and proud lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender person and want to support another LGBT person coming to terms with their sexuality, come attend a meeting. We’ve had people who’ve come into one meeting and kept coming back for 20 years!
What can I expect at a PFLAG meeting?
No one who attends a meeting is ever made to feel that he or she must speak. We all know the value of quiet listening. And no one who does speak is expected to reveal more than he or she feels comfortable with. But in the warm and supportive atmosphere many newcomers find that they are able to put troubling thoughts and fears into words for the first time and receive reassurance, guidance and facts. All conversations are considered confidential and are not discussed beyond the room.
PFLAG literature is available as you come in and our free book and video library is open. Most meetings begin with a speaker or program. We break for refreshments, then meet for an hour of support in small groups. We generally end our meeting with a casual invitation to all interested parties to share dinner with us at a local restaurant.

Regular Monthly Meeting – 3rd Sunday [TS]

Support ONLY meeting – 1st Monday [FM]
We also offer a support only meeting for additional support or if you cannot attend Sundays.
When: The 1st Monday of each month
Time: 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Where: Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta, Slightly beyond 1587 Northeast Expy NE Atlanta, GA 30329-2302
The entrance to the parking lot is situated on the I-85N access/frontage road between N. Druid Hills Rd and Clairmont Rd. Take the access road/ramp to I-85N and bear right to stay on the access road. You will pass by Guitar Center, Girl Scouts of America and Mainly Baskets on your right. The nearest address before UUCA is 1587 Northeast Expy NE Atlanta, GA 30329-2302. After that, slow down and look to your right. You will see a sign for Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta (UUCA) and Atlanta Progressive School. Turn right into the parking lot and proceed up the stairs to the glass doors. You will find us in one of the rooms off the main lobby.
If you miss it and get to Cliff Valley Way you have gone too far. If you miss the entrance to UUCA, hang a right on Cliff Valley Way, a right on Briarcliff Rd and a right on N. Druid Hills Rd and try again

Directions to MCC
From the North or Northeast
1. Take I 85 Southbound to North Druid Hills exit.
2. Turn left to cross over I 85.
3. Go one block to traffic light at Tullie Rd.
4. Turn left on Tullie Rd., go past MacDonalds.
5. The church is the next building but entrance to parking lot is off the next street on the right.
6. Turn right and enter lot immediately on your right.
7. Park and enter building thru the side door facing the parking lot
From the South
1. Take I 85 Northbound to North Druid Hills Road exit.
2. At top of the ramp turn right.
3. Go one block to traffic light at Tullie Rd.
4. Proceed with steps 4 to 7 above.
From 400 Southbound
1. Exit at Sidney Marcus Blvd. (Exit 2)
2. Turn left at end of ramp.
3. Stay to the left as it feeds into Buford Hwy.
4. Proceed to North Druid Hills Rd. There’s a CVS Store on the left corner.
5. Turn right , cross over I 85.
6. Go one block to traffic light at Tullie Rd.
7. Follow steps 4 to 7 above.
Directions to UUCA
From the North or Northeast
1. Take I 85 Southbound to the Clairmont Rd exit.
2. Go straight and cross over Clairmont Rd and bear right to get on the I-85 frontage/access road (do not get back on I-85S)
3. Keep going till you see an underpass on your left. Bear left and take the leftmost lane to do a U-turn under I-85.
4. When you come out on the other side, bear right and the driveway to UUCA should be immediately on your right.
5. Park anywhere in the parking lot and come up the main steps to enter through the glass doors
6. We should be in the rooms off the main lobby – feel free to peek into the rooms or ask anyone who may be there to direct you.
From the South
1. Take I 85 Northbound to North Druid Hills Road exit.
2. At top of the ramp go straight across N. Druid Hills Rd to take the I-85N frontage road. Bear right after the intersection and do not get back on I-85N
3. Keep going on the Frontage Rd till you see the UUCA entrance on your right hand side. Turn right into the parking lot.
4. Park anywhere in the parking lot and come up the main steps to enter through the glass doors
5. We should be in the rooms off the main lobby – feel free to peek into the rooms or ask anyone who may be there to direct you.
Directions to UUCA
From 400 Southbound
1. Exit at Sidney Marcus Blvd. (Exit 2)
2. Turn left at end of ramp.
3. Stay to the left as it feeds into Buford Hwy. Turn left at the light onto Buford Hwy
4. Proceed to North Druid Hills Rd. There’s a CVS Store on the left corner.
5. Turn right keep going down N. Druid Hills Rd but get into the left lane at the light for the I-85N/I-85 Frontage Rd sign.
6. Make a left on to the I-85 Frontage Rd and immediately bear right so you do not get back on I-85N
7. Keep going on the Frontage Rd till you see the UUCA entrance on your right hand side. Turn right into the parking lot.
8. Park anywhere in the parking lot and come up the main steps to enter through the glass doors
9. We should be in the rooms off the main lobby – feel free to peek into the rooms or ask anyone who may be there to direct you.
