Phone a Friend
At PFLAG, we know that coming for a support group meeting may not be the easiest thing to do. Sometimes the time isn’t convenient and sometimes you’d like to just talk to another person before you drum up the courage to come for a meeting. When we learned about our children, we too thought we were the only people in the world. If you’re going through a difficult situation and you’d like to talk to a friend, we can try and return your call and hear what you have to say. Please note, we are just LGBT people and parents of LGBT children.
We are not therapists or counselors – we can just listen and tell you how we handled our situation. If you are looking for a therapist, please see http://www.glbtnearme.org and look for resources near you.
If your situation involves a suicide risk, please call the Trevor Hotline at 1-866-488-7386. If your situation involves violence to you, please call 911 and report the issue.Tell us the best way we can contact you.
