Rev. Beth La Rocca-Pitts is our first speaker at the new location - St. Marks UMC, and she is the Senior Pastor at our new PFLAG Atlanta home. We are so happy to have her welcome us here!
Rev Beth La Rocca-Pitts
Beth LaRocca-Pitts has been a member of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church since 1983, though she has been preaching for longer than that! “When I was 12 year old and a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Athens, I realized that I would never be happy in life if I had to do another job other than the job that the priest at St. Joseph’s did. So I started attending my mother’s church, Athens First UMC and at age 14 I joined there. I also got a lay speaker’s certificate at age 17 and began preaching around the district.” Read more about Rev. Beth here…

From the North
Going South on I-75, I-85 or GA400
Take the I-75 and I-85 connector into downtown Atlanta. Take Exit 249D, North Avenue, turn LEFT at stop light. Go East on North Avenue to Peachtree St (four blocks). Turn LEFT (North) on Peachtree Street; go four blocks North to 5th Street. Saint Mark is on the right side, at the corner of Peachtree Street and 5th Street.
From the South
Coming from I-20 East or West, or going North on I-75 or I-85
Go North into downtown Atlanta on the I-75 / I-85 connector. Take Exit 249B toward Spring Street and West Peachtree Street. Follow signs to Peachtree Street (straight ahead). Go LEFT (North) on Peachtree Street; go five blocks North to 5th Street. Saint Mark is on the right side, at the corner of Peachtree Street and 5th Street.
