LGBTQ Support Groups with focus on South Asian Families around Atlanta
A new group with a focus on supporting families of South Asian origin with LGBTQ children has been started. The South Asian community (Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan) often have coming out experiences that do not fit the western paradigm. In some cases, South Asian families may not even be aware of what being lesbian, gay, bi or transgender even means. These meetings are confidential and held regularly, possibly under the umbrella of PFLAG. Please spread the word if you know someone who might benefit from these meetings. Allies are welcome to attend.
Please email [email protected] for more information and if you would like to attend. Future meetings after the one below will be held at a private location.
Sunday 14th February 2016 2-3.30pm (For Family and Allies of LGBTQ persons) Sandy Springs library, 395 Mount Vernon Hwy NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328
