Greetings from PFLAG Atlanta Co-presidents
Dear PFLAG Atlanta members,
A warm hello from your PFLAG Atlanta co-presidents, David Stivers and Maria Voutos. We are so honored to volunteer our time as co-presidents for such an incredible organization like PFLAG. PFLAG has helped both of our families at different times in our lives; therefore we are keen to give back to a community that helped us. We greatly appreciate your membership and willingness to volunteer and help out where needed. We wanted to highlight ways in which you can help as some of you have expressed an interest in volunteering.
You can volunteer by:
- Attending any of our monthly meetings (please see our website for place/date/time) and sharing your story with others
- Signing up to help us during Atlanta Pride in October
- Maintaining your PFLAG membership (you may join via www.pflagatl.org) and encouraging your family and friends to do so as well!
- Volunteering as a guest speaker at our 3rd Sunday meetings. Are you involved in LGBTQ issues in your professional life? Do you have a topic that you feel our community would benefit hearing about? If so, please contact Maria or David
- Bring in snacks for our 3rd Sunday meetings (email [email protected])
- Or other ways
The gift of your time at our meetings is always appreciated. If you have joined as a member and have not yet attended any meetings, we encourage you to attend at least one. One meeting is enough to know that you will be supported and surrounded by some awesome folks! We hope to see you soon.
